I have a few Lunapads that I just love. So when I was given the opportunity to review some Lunapanties by Lunapads, I was thrilled.
Contrary to what I first thought, these are not panties to be used solely for menstrual flow. Instead, they are a supplement for The Diva Cup or can be used for light flow days. They also make great pregnancy panties, for the discharge that naturally occurs during that time. Some women are even finding the these panties are great for incontinence issues, saving them from wearing a bulky pad.
Lunapanties are made out of organic cotton with 5% Lycra (for snugness) with a with an absorbent fleece liner in the crotch. They also come with a insertable fleece liner.
I received a pair of magenta brief panties with liner. As the site states, it didn’t seem thick enough for the main flow of my cycle, but I had no problem using them in the first pre-spotting days, as well as the final days when flow was lighter. Because of style and color however, I didn’t like them for daytime use. They just aren’t as feminine feeling for daytime use.
I actually liked them for nighttime use better than daytime use. Because of their snugness, they kept me from having gapping/bunching problems that normally come with pads during the nighttime hours. I liked them so much for nighttime use, I would like an entire supply of them.
Are they worth the cost? When one considers the cost of disposable pads, any Lunapads product will more than pay for itself as time goes on, not to mention they are a healthier alternative to chemically laden sanitary products – -and so, I give these a two thumbs up and think they are completely worth it!
You can check out more facts on the Lunapanties page.
Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of these Lunapanties for review purposes.

Wow! I am a big fan of the LunaPads but I didn’t know about the panties – this sounds like a very interesting product for me to try! Thanks for the alert! I am following you back!
