Many moms nurse, which brings the need for a nursing cover that will work for both mom and baby….meaning it provides the necessary coverage for mom, but it also doesn’t smother baby. The Reno Rose Nurf is a multifunctional nursing cover that can also be considered the latest fashion accessory.
As a nursing cover, the Nurf is quite functional. It’s more like a nursing scarf or shawl. It’s very lightweight and sheer, yet the colors help to give more coverage. There is a hole in the middle of the Nurf that is large enough to fit your head through. In order to gain the best coverage, a size medium/large is recommended for nursing. Once you have the scarf on, you shift it around, until the wider part of the fabric is covering your front, and voila, you have a nursing cover. As a sheer, lightweight cover, it’s nice, especially in the summertime, as it doesn’t smother either you or the baby.ÂÂ
You can also use it as a stroller cover, which makes it even more functional for a mom on the go. You can keep an eye on baby through the hole. The Nurf is so small and lightweight that it can easily slip into your purse or diaper bag. The best part is that it can be washed and dried, as it’s made out of 100% polyester.
The great thing about the Nurf, though, is that it’s not just another blanket that can only be brought out when you’re nursing. It can be worn all the time and makes a great accent for different outfits. The Nurf comes in several patterns, each of which is unique and beautiful, so you can pick the one that complements you the most:
- Ramon: paisley print with splashes of purple, blue, and teal
- Stephanie: abstract paisley pattern with salmon hues
- Gabrielle: leafy pattern with neutral green and mustard
- Juli: black, white, and yellow bold geometric pattern
- Emily: soft blue with a modern floral pattern in ivory and brown
- Gwen: white flowers on a chocolate brown background
- Minako: abstract white roses on a black background
- Janelle: lime green and ivory geometric pattern
- Noir: the basic black Nurf (not recommended for nursing due to fabric’s sheerness)
- Akino: black and sheer with dramatic red rose print (not recommended for nursing)
The scarf is bias-cut, so it fits different body shapes and sizes. It comes in small, medium, or large.
I received the Emily Nurf, and I actually tried the Nurf in several different ways, as a fashion accessory.ÂÂ
I can wear it just draped across my top, in many different ways. (This is not my favorite way to wear it, though; it feels a bit awkward to me.)  However, you can also have it as a sort of wrap to cover your upper arms and shoulders, just to ward off chilly air. It can easily dress up a casual outfit, with the sheer fabric and the designs/colors. Even though I am not currently nursing, and can’t really give the Nurf a fair review for use in nursing, I can still see how it would work wonderfully for this as it drapes down in certain places, as to cover up, yet leaves the rest of your arms free, so you’re not stifled and stuck underneath a blanket. You can easily hold onto baby or reach for things if needed.
I can wear it as a neck scarf.
I can wear it in my hair as a head scarf (now I just need a convertible, so it can blow in the wind, as I’m driving down the highway).
Oh, and I can just tie it onto my purse.
Altogether, Reno Rose says that this scarf has 14 different looks. I can wear it with any outfit, whether it be my jeans or dress pants, dress or skirt. It’s got so many different uses, that it’s a wonderful addition to my closet. It can be rolled in such a way, as noone else can see the head hole. You can purchase the Reno Rose Nurf for $35.00. Reno Rose is giving all of my readers a 15% off discount, as well, using the code: MAMABUZZ.
