When Jacob was a baby, he was so colicky, that there were times I’d lay down right beside him and just bawl right along with him.ÂÂ
He cried and cried so much, that I wondered if we’d ever make it through that colicky stage. I tried everything to soothe him, but it seemed that nothing worked at the time.
Luna Lullaby is a company, formed by parents, in conjunction with experts, that manufactures and sells products for both mom and baby, products meant to soothe and quiet baby to sleep or rest. One particular product is the Bounce a Bye Baby Ball. This huge bouncy ball can be used for soothing baby when restless or colicky, or it can be used in a multitude of other ways.ÂÂ
They say that bouncing the newborn makes the baby feel like he/she is back in the womb; it gives that soothing feeling. This ball is also great for birthing because it aligns the pelvis correctly. When I had Jacob, they gave me one in the hospital to use, but it was hard to stay on it in between contractions, honestly. The Bounce a Bye Baby Ball comes with a stabilizing stand, so that it won’t move, which makes it much safer to use, especially with a pregnancy or a baby.
Now my kids would argue and say that this ball was meant for them to play with, and it does make a great bouncy ball (in the house). I won’t let them take it outside at all. The ball is very heavy duty, though, not your typical slick surface bouncy ball. It’s got a very thick rubbery sole that grips, and it comes in three different designs. I actually received the Pink Butterfly. Personally, since I am neither pregnant or have a newborn right now, I use the ball for exercising. You can do situps and a host of other exercises with it. I haven’t tried this next use yet, but I’ve actually heard that a ball like this is even great to use as a chair at times, helps to form good posture, as you have to sit right, in order to stay on it (without the stand).ÂÂ
The ball can hold up to 600 pounds. You can purchase the anti-burst Bounce a Bye Baby Ball for $39.00. It comes with its own hand pump and care guide. It did take a few minutes to air up, but it wasn’t hard at all, and it gave my arms a great workout, plus the kids had fun taking turns helping me.:)
