Chugger Championship Playset & DVD {Giveaway}

Christmas is coming, so it’s really time to start thinking about what you’re going to be looking for this holiday season, if you haven’t already. I tend to wait until the month before Christmas, and then I panic. This year, Chuggington has some awesome products you might want to consider for your special trainees.

The Chugger Championship Rev’n Race Deluxe Playset should be on every trainee’s Christmas list this year….at least in my opinion. We have had a lot of fun with this die-cast playset, as evidenced by the following video.

When we first received the playset, we had to set it all up; it came with step-by-step instructions to do so. This set was a bit more complicated of a set to construct, but with the directions we were able to get it done in no time. It’s a 34-piece, 4-feet long set that includes a die-cast Chugger Championship Koko engine. The track pieces each have grooves and side slots to help them stay together. That’s one thing I appreciate about the Chuggington track is that it doesn’t come apart easily. So, my boys are able to enjoy playing without getting aggravated by a track that’s falling apart every time they move a certain way.

Now, with this track you can race either single engine or double engine. To race, Jaden twists Vee to set the lap counter. Then he pushes down the sign to get the start gate ready. It requires no batteries….another HUGE plus! He controls the power of the racetrack, as he turns the crank on the Launcher. He connects his engine to the start gate, presses down on the engine release button, still turning the crank, and off the engine goes into the launcher, off to race around the track and win the trophy, which also pops up. It is so much fun! We’ve had the track set up in our living room for over a week now because Jaden doesn’t really want to put it away. Another plus to this set is that Jaden can use his other die-cast engines with the set, as they’re compatible.

The only downside to our set was that one of our flags that hooks onto the speedway was not the right type of flag….I’m not sure if maybe it’s from another set and accidentally got put into our set? It’s got the wrong type of bottom to hook onto the speedway, so we haven’t figured it out yet. Not a huge deal, though, because I don’t know that Jaden’s even noticed. I’ll just say it was the least of his concerns. He just wanted to play.You can purchase the Chugger Championship Rev’nRace Deluxe Playset for approximately $49.99, and it’s geared for ages 3 and up. You can find out where to buy it in your local area; in our area, it’s available at Toys R Us.

Now another small gift you might want to go along with your playset, maybe even as a stocking stuffer, is The Chugger Championship on DVD. It’s all about the big race. This DVD includes 6 action-packed adventures with Wilson, Brewster, and Koko. Trainees will follow along as the three engines learn that winning isn’t always everything, plus a few other life lessons along the way. While Jaden enjoys the colorful stories and characters, as a parent, I like that Chuggington always has something to teach….only in an easy to understand manner for kids. Chuggington DVDs always have values, but kids might not even realize it because they’re enjoying each story as it rolls along. You can purchase The Chugger Championship for approximately $16.98, and it’s about an hour long.
