The Wizard of Oz is celebrating its 75th anniversary next year. Gosh, I remember loving this movie when I was a little girl; the yellow brick road was just so fascinating to me. Fans can now craft with Wizard of Oz craft products from Darice Crafts.
The Wizard of Oz crafts are a line of products for both kids and adults. I’ll show you how to create a simple gift below, but first, take a look at the products that are now available at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, Michaels, AC Moore, and other small retailers. (Please note that product selection in your store may vary.)
Probably my favorite products are The Wizard of Oz Foam and Felt Kits, with which you can create your favorite character, even Toto in his basket, so cute! I actually put the Wicked Witch together, just to show you how the products come to life. You can also find different types of coloring posters, stickers, and “Stained Glass.” My kids love the Wood Coloring Kits that are found in just about any craft store, and now you can get them in this line, as well, markers included. One pack is even a set of ornaments that could easily be turned into festive Christmas ornaments for the tree. I remember playing with Sticker Scenes when I was a kid; this Wizard of Oz Sticker Scene use reusable stickers for fun, make believe play over and over again. Finally, with Halloween just around the corner, The Wizard of Oz Felt Masks are perfect! We had a lot of fun trying these on and taking photos together. My oldest really gets into character. My youngest in the lion mask makes my heart melt. So fun, not only for a Halloween costume, but for everyday dress-up play.
