Amazing

These are some of the words used to describe Pantzies, the new fashion print liner that is “like candy for your panties”.

While I like the concept of “hypo-allergenic, silky, anti-bacterial finish, and latex free“, when I opened the package, I wasn’t sure. Despite these being EPA safe for inhibiting odor-causing bacterial and fungal cells, I was even less sure when I pulled my first Pantzie out of the package. Honestly, upon first glance, it just did not look comfortable. Not compared to the cottony-type liners I normally wear.

When I touched it, I was surprised to find it was soft. Silky almost. I thought that maybe they might not be too bad after all.

My first peel-off resulted in some problems. The underside is so sticky, the Pantzie rolled up on itself and stuck! It reminded me of struggling with packaging tape. But I was unable to get it stuck and use it after all.

I must say, I was shocked at how comfortable it was. I thought for sure I’d feel edges like I do with regular liners, just because it was a different material, but I didn’t! Not at all, in fact! Just the opposite actually. I felt nothing. I forgot it was on. Not once did it bunch up or ride up, or curl up. It was so thin I never felt it and stuck so well to my underwear that even after a work out and sweat, it didn’t begin peeling up and off, causing an uncomfortable situation. They also stayed “dry” even through a work out, which I assume is because of the moisture wicking in the fabric.

I wondered about the garbage factor but the site states that Pantzies are degradable, so that satisfied my green-side.

My only issue with Pantzies, is they cost double what normal liners cost, even triple if I hit a sale with a coupon. That is a bummer, because overall I love them and would use them regularly because of how they beat out competition when it comes out to comfort and dryness and odor factors! If these were along side regular liners on a store shelf and had frequent sales and coupons, they would become my new liner for sure. For now, the price, for this price conscious Mama is too much–despite how much I loved them.

Book Corner | Raven’s Ladder

Raven’s Ladder

by Jeffery Overstreet

My Review:

I did not find Raven’s Ladder to be as magical as Auralia’s Colors, nor did I find it to be as heart wrenching as Cyndre’s Midnight, but it captivated me none-the-less. Each book has been unique, and that includes this third book in the Auralia’s Thread series.

Book 1 spun a colorful picture in my mind, like a water color painting that had colors beyond description. I fell in love with Auralia and the Ale Boy. I couldn’t wait to read more about them in Book 2.

Book 2 disappointed me at first. Auralia and the Ale Boy were not there. Instead, Jordam, a beastman was there, as was Cyndere.

No matter. I found myself caring for them as deeply as I had, Auralia and the Ale Boy. In fact, I think I pulled harder for Jordam in my mind, longing for him to find freedom, than I had for any other character in the series thus far.

Book 3, Raven’s Ladder, disappointed me again. Jordam was not there. Cyndere did not come until much later. And yet, Jeffery Overstreet gave me another character to grow to love and respect – King Cal-raven.  Like so many in today’s modern world, his people are unaware of the hidden danger to the beauty of Bel Amica. Cal-raven sees it however, and longs to remove his people from there and rebuild House Abascar in a new place. Like the prophets of old, Cal-raven sees the danger, speaks the danger, and is not heeded. Yet he does not back down from what he knows to be true danger to his people. As he fights on, the threads of Auralia, the Ale Boy, and now Jordam and Cyndere are interwoven into the narrative, creating a strong and beautiful tale of fantasy with heroes that erupt visions in the imagination that no special affects creator can ever duplicate.
