Boots Seen in Central Park

This winter you’ve probably already seen a variety of boots….whether you’re walking down the street window shopping or just taking a stroll in the park. I seem to have developed quite the fetish for boots; I can’t help myself, I love them. While in New York, my mom and I took a stroll through Central Park, and the idea came to me to show off some of the boots I noticed while there; you’d be surprised at all the different kinds of boots one can see even while on a short, relaxing walk (especially if you sit down on a park bench to people watch for any length of time)….

Tall, leather boots complete any casual or dressy outfit, giving even a pair of jeans or leggings a sense of flair….

Ugg style boots are definitely in this season, both for reasons of style and comfort….

Fur-lined boots speak warmth yet comfy style….Casual doesn’t have to mean boring either; take a look at these strapped boots (my ultimate favorite)….Chunky, brown boots go great with a pair of jeans….

Boots = fashion this winter season….

Have You Watched The Balancing Act?

Weekdays on Lifetime Television, you can catch the show, The Balancing Act, hosted by Danielle Knox, Beth Troutman, and Kristy Villa. It airs early every morning from 7-8 am EST.Lately, I’ve been checking out their website, as they store several clips of the show there. This is awesome because most mornings, we’re in a rush to get around and get the day started, and unless I record the show, I can’t always catch it.

So what do they talk about on the show, you ask? They talk about a variety of topics, some of which are meant to help simplify your life, even making it better so you can enjoy life to the fullest.  They discuss different topics, including health, fitness, food, books, etc. They have a different theme each day as follows:

  • Monday- My Life
  • Tuesday- My Family
  • Wednesday- My Empowerment
  • Thursday- My Home
  • Friday- My Weekend

I like the different themes to each day because this really adds focus to each day’s episodes. You can also search the themes on the website, which I did, and found some clips from Denise Austin. I noticed a recipe for Chocolate Chip Potato Poppers right off the bat. But then I started to notice exercise clips that were sponsored by Skechers, including this one about walking. That’s what got me to thinking about my own tired, aching feet, and I went on a little online shopping excursion of my own.The thing about The Balancing Act is that they realize that women lead busy lives, that life really is a balancing act between family and outside obligations like work, volunteer commitments, etc. It’s nice to have a show that inspires and empowers women each and every day to live life to the fullest….a show that actually tries to give tips and tricks on simplifying that crazy balancing act called life.

Again, if you’re in need of some inspiration and maybe even a few moments to relax and breathe before starting that crazy day ahead, be sure to catch The Balancing Act on Lifetime, weekdays, from 7-8 am EST. You can also find The Balancing Act on Facebook and follow @BalancingActTV on Twitter.
