Hold ‘Em Tight with Super Strong Magnetic Clips {Giveaway}

With all the activities families are involved in, it’s just a given that all kinds of papers are going to make their debut on your kitchen table, cabinet, and anywhere else the family happens to drop them. Sometimes the papers may be trash, other times they may just need filed…. but sometimes those papers need extra attention, meaning they need to stay within our sight, so we can follow up. Of course, there’s also the abundant supply of art projects that little hands create, and sometimes we wanna hang those creations up to show them off. Then again, if you have a home office, you may have certain items that need to be in front of your eyes at all times.

Enter Super Strong Magnetic Clips from Learning Resources. This 4-pack of clips comes in primary colors red, yellow, green, and blue. The clips are about 1.5″ in diameter, quite small, but also quite sturdy. They are, in fact, quite heavy for their size.They can be used to hold papers (guaranteed to hold up to 50 pages per clip), magazines, folders, and more. I actually wanted to use them to hold the kids’ artwork on our inside garage door. We have a family calendar there, and it’s a really good place, within the kitchen, to hold different pieces of their creations. Of course, I can also use them on the fridge….but since getting a new fridge, we’re really trying to keep fridge clutter to a minimum.The clips are quite heavy, so they’re not as easy to pick up off the magnetic surface; you may be tempted to let them slide as you’re picking them up to move them. However, it’s important to pick them right up, as I found they can leave a slight mark or scratch if allowed to slide on the surface. This heaviness is a good thing, though, because it means they hold well. They’re not going to fall off the door every time it gets slammed by one of the kids….they’re not going to fall off the fridge….they’re going to stay put, which is a must when holding papers, pictures, etc.

You can purchase the Super Strong Magnetic Clips for $14.99 from Learning Resources.

Stow Away with the Junque Trunk

Christmas is coming, and if you have kids, it might be time to go through their rooms, organizing and purging as possible. Our kids tend to get a few new toys every year, especially from the grandparents. So, every year I try to go through and help them clean and organize, getting rid of broken toys and donating toys they don’t play with.

This year we’ve gotten a few under-the-bed bins to store some things away, but we also needed a bigger bin for some of their train sets. Some of their toys and playsets just don’t fit in a smaller bin, but we’d also like to have something that we could possibly store away if needed. Bungalow has collapsible storage options that fit the bill for a certain train set we needed a place for.The Scout Junque Trunk, in particular, caught my eye and was the perfect size, measuring 15 x 15 x 24 inches, weighing 5.2 pounds. Now I’ll admit, I’m usually not totally positive when it comes to collapsible storage because I’ve normally bought fairly cheap collapsible storage products in the past, and they’ve always gotten torn up and bent. This box is quite different, though, as it’s very sturdy, not flimsy at all, and it has seams down the sides that actually allow those sides to collapse and bend….it lends a certain give to the box, so that if they do get pressed on, they’re not going to just bend any which way, meaning the box won’t be completely ruined and forced out of shape.When it arrived, the Junque Trunk was completely collapsed and seemed quite heavy. It’s got reinforced riveted handles and is made of coated cotton, meaning it’s sleek and smooth….also water resistant. Being in the boys’ room, that’s a great feature and means I can just wipe it down at any time. When we set it up, it just folded into place, and there was a zipper to zip up the bottom. Then a large solid piece fit in the bottom of the box, giving it a foundation to sit on.We actually loaded our Junque Trunk down with one of the boys’ Chuggington train sets, and it fit perfectly. In fact, it left room for more. I picked up the trunk, and it didn’t sag at all; it held its shape and weight. It also slides on the floor, another great feature for Jaden, meaning he can move it easily from one place to another.

You can purchase the Scout Junque Trunk for around $20; it comes in several different colors and would be perfect in a kids’ room, dorm room, garage, etc. Bungalow also has lunch totes, shopping bags, and other forms of storage solutions available.
