Creamy, Delicious Voskos Greek Yogurt & YoGreek {Giveaway}

It’s honestly pretty easy to get my kids to eat yogurt, one healthy food they enjoy very much. I’ve really started to try to stay away from the foods that have artificial colors in them, so I’m always happy to find yogurt that is healthy and more natural. Voskos Greek Yogurt is one such yogurt that is creamy, delicious, nutritious, healthy….well, you get the picture.

I’ve actually blogged about Voskos before, and now we’re back with another review. Voskos Greek Yogurt, produced by Sun Valley Dairy, has actually adapted a very old Greek style straining process, and all of their yogurt, even the lowfat yogurt, is very creamy.  The richness of the yogurt lends to an almost tingly feeling to the tastebuds.  I don’t know if that even makes sense, but it’s true.  Their yogurt has twice the protein of regular yogurt, and it contains five live, active probiotic cultures, which we all know help both our digestive and immune systems. Looking for a gluten free choice? Voskos is also free of gluten, rBST, rBGH, and GMO. Their yogurts are also blended with fruit, and there are no fruit chunks.

We received a few of the newer flavors of Voskos, along with a few of the new products, YoGreek. Here are the flavors we received:

  • Peach
  • Apricot Mango
  • YoGreek Strawberry & Granola
  • YoGreek Honey & Granola
  • YoGreek Blueberry & Granola
  • YoGreek Vanilla & Granola

Since I’ve already told you about Voskos above, I want to focus on YoGreek because it was my favorite out of all the products. YoGreek is a yogurt that comes in a slightly bigger container but has a granola pocket on the side. It’s so convenient because you can actually remove the cover and just tip your granola over the side into your yogurt. No mess, and it gives that crunchy texture that I sometimes crave. We’ve always loved granola in our yogurt, and now it’s easier to have the two together….no need to buy separately. YoGreek has 2x’s the protein, made with 0% milk fat, and it’s rBST*, rBGH, GMO Free.

My kids actually got to most of the yogurt before I even had a chance. They were eating it up every single day….so that tells you that my kids loved it. I did get to try a few bites in between, little rascals. I’m not complaining, though. I’m really happy that they love yogurt because it gives me a healthy option when shopping for snacks. I will say that the yogurt is not as fruity-tasting as I might prefer, but I do love the creamy texture and the granola, of course. It’s a genius idea to put the two together in one convenient package, easy to carry to the park, on a plane, etc.

You can purchase Voskos and YoGreek at your local neighborhood supermarket. Be sure to Like Voskos Greek Yogurt and YoGreek on Facebook.

Have You Tried the New Pizza Recipe at Chuck E. Cheese? {Giveaway}

I will admit….I’ve never, not even once in my life, been to Chuck E. Cheese’s. I always wanted to take the kids, but for some reason, we just never got around to it, until recently. Last week we took an afternoon and went out for lunch together, as a family, and had some fun!In case you haven’t heard, Chuck E. Cheese’s now has a new pizza recipe. I hadn’t ever tried the old recipe, so I couldn’t really compare the two, but I will say the new recipe is quite tasty. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, and it was yummy! One of my biggest pet peeves with a lot of pizza places is that there is never enough sauce. Not so with this pizza; there was plenty of sauce, and it was yummy. They were also very generous with the cheese and pepperoni, plus the pizza was basically ready in minutes. Ahem….to try to avoid germs….(yes, I think about these things), we decided to eat first, play second. We didn’t have to wait long at all. Just to give you a bit of an overview, the new Chuck E. Cheese’s pizza has freshly grated 100% mozzarella cheese, fresh (not frozen) dough, and fresh veggies. Our pizza crust was actually quite light and crispy, as well. My family must have liked it because it didn’t take them long to eat it up.Not only did we get to eat pizza, but we also got free refills on drinks and had loads of fun with all the games and rides. Jaden enjoyed climbing through the pipe maze, and Jacob, Dan, and I played loads of skee ball. We actually sped through our tokens (even though each game only takes 1 token, unless you’re playing multiplayer), so we just payed $10 for 50 extra tokens. The kids were having a blast, and we just weren’t really ready to leave. It was a fun-filled afternoon for our family. Be sure to Follow Chuck E. Cheese on Facebook.The great news is that I’m giving away 3 passes, 1 each, to 3 MamaBuzz readers! Each guest pass will get the winner one large pizza, 4 soft drinks, and 30 tokens, all FREE! You can enter to win by doing one or more of the following; just be sure to leave a separate comment for each way that you enter. I’ll draw the winner, via random.org, on Thursday, September 22. This giveaway is open to U.S. only. Good luck, and have a wonderful day!
