Solay Wellness is a woman-owned company located in Illinois. They offer all kinds of products from salt lamps to organic, natural body products to organic, natural cleaning products to pet products, etc.
One thing that I love about their skin care, body care, pet care, etc., products, is that they are made by local mothers; this company believes in Fair Trade and supporting the small business owner.
Their mission is to promote wellness in the lives of those who use their products….to reduce stress and the toxins that invade our lives every day….to help those of us who are little stressballs to become a bit more peaceful and calm and to reduce the effects of environmental toxins.
I received the Solay Seven, which is a sampling of their skin care line, and I’m cherishing every last drop….I wouldn’t say I’m hoarding it, but I’m definitely cherishing it. The first product that I tried was the Solay 84 Minerals Hydrating Night Cream. My face has never felt this soft before; it has such moisturizing properties. The cream isn’t greasy at all, and it smooths right into my skin. It’s very velvety and creamy with a peppermint type scent, which is quite refreshing. You can purchase a 2-oz. jar for $34.00, which for me, is quite pricey, but what luxury it brings, as well as the fact that it didn’t break my skin out, like many other moisturizers I’ve tried….
Next I received the Solay 84 Minerals Organic Face Lotion. This lotion has a lighter texture to it but again, is not greasy. It too has the peppermint type scent, which I love, because it’s so refreshing. With natural ingredients like Himalayan Salt Water, Organic avocado oil, Marshmallow root, Seaweed extract, etc., it’s good for the skin and promotes balance and hydration. This was perfect to use after a shower or first thing in the morning. You can purchase a 2-oz. jar for $28.
Next was the Solay Sea Therapy Organic Body Milk. This body milk is another type of body lotion that has a feathery type of texture and smooths quickly into the skin, moisturizing and leaving a soft feeling. It too has the peppermint type scent and is luxurious in and of itself.
Next I tried the Solay Sea Therapy Organic Body Butter. This body butter is meant for the body, hands, and feet and is blended by hand, as well as a whipped body butter. It’s supposed to be good for dry skin, as it moisturizes on a deeper level. I noticed that it was slightly greasy, but that could go with the territory of being a body butter. With minerals, nutrients, and anti-inflammatory substances, such as Sea Kelp and Himalayan Salt, this is great for aging skin, as well. The texture is light and takes slightly longer to smooth into the skin, but I could definitely feel it softening as I rubbed it in. The scent is again a peppermint-type scent. You can purchase an 8-oz. jar for $36.00.
One thing I deal with, and have my whole life, is dark under-the-eye circles. I take after my grandmother in that way. I have to use cover-up every day. I haven’t used it long enough to tell a significant difference yet, but I was able to try the Solay 84 Minerals Organic Under Eye Cream, which is meant for both under the eye and the neck. It is supposed to reduce the lines and wrinkles that we get as we age, as well as reduce the darkness that some of us carry under our eyes. The texture is slightly richer and heavier, but it’s still just as creamy, smoothing into the skin. They say to try it for 7 days for results. Again, it’s handmade and contains no preservatives or parabens. It’s actually 100% vegan. You can purchase a 1-oz. jar for $28.00.
One of my favorite products, just because of the results I got, was the Solay 84 Minerals Detoxifying Mud Mask. I’ve had a terrible time with acne lately, and after using this, my face has never felt so clean and never looked so vibrant and silky smooth, as it does now.ÂÂ
This mud mask is supposed to help re-hydrate, as well as detoxify your skin and tighten up pores. It’s 100% vegan. When I put it on my skin, it took me just a bit, as it’s a thicker concoction. My face was totally brownish-green with it, so it was fun scaring the kids and making them giggle because Mommy had mud on her face. I could definitely feel the tightening effects as it dried, and my face felt like it was drying out….it easily rinsed off, though, and I used moisturizer straightaway. I am just in love with this product, and if I could only buy one item, it would probably be this, although I do love that Night Cream. You can purchase the mud mask in a 4-oz. jar for $28.
Lastly, I tried the Solay Gentle Face Scrub. This scrub exfoliates and cleanses, while at the same time, remineralizing the skin. It’s got small organic jojoba beads and Calcium Bentonite clay from Death Valley. I used it at night, and again, the results were awesome! I have a hard time finding cleansers that will cleanse my face without completely drying it out or without oiling my skin up, causing even more acne. I can’t say enough good things about this cleanser, as it left me with clean-feeling, soft skin that felt wonderful! You can purchase this scrub in a 4-oz. jar for $28.00.
All in all, I highly recommend Solay Wellness.
(Disclosure: I received the above items, free of charge, from Solay Wellness, for the purposes of this review.)
