2nd Annual Christmas Tree Contest

Christmas is here once again, and I’m so excited to announce the 2nd Annual MamaBuzz Christmas Tree Contest!  This was so much fun last year….remember the winners?  Well, it’s time once again for you to either dig your tree out of the attic or go wrestle one out of the woods (or the nearest Christmas tree lot/farm).  It’s time to get your tinsel on and beautify that tree with memorable, beautiful ornaments from Christmases past.

The great news is that we have a prize package for the first place winner! This prize package comes to you, via Hallmark!  Hallmark is offering a prize pack of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments.  These ornaments include the following:

  • A Visit from Santa- This ornament features Santa, holding a lantern, visiting a little spotted deer.
  • Animal (The Muppet Show): Kids will love this ornament, as it’s crazy Animal playing the drums, feet and all.
  • Our Christmas Together: This is a romantic ornament with the year, 2010.
  • Poor Ralphie’s One Chance (A Christmas Story): This ornament features Ralphie on the slide.  He’s trying to climb back up the slide, so he can tell Santa what he wants.
  • Season’s Treatings: A mini muffin tin, filled with Christmas cupcakes; also includes the year.

These ornaments are so special, and they’re definitely sure to spark discussion around any Christmas tree. Be sure to Like Hallmark on Facebook and follow @HallmarkPR on Twitter.

You can enter to win all of these ornaments. If you would like to be entered into this contest, all you have to do is take a picture of your tree, and place a post with that picture on your blog by Wednesday, December 8. Tell a little bit about your tree, and be sure to link back over to MamaBuzz in your post. Then come sign Mr. Linky below, and you will be entered. If you don’t have a blog, never fear; you can still enter.  You can make a public Facebook note w/a picture of your tree (and then link it up), you can add a Twitpic (then linking up your tweet via linky or comment), you can add your photo to Flickr (and link it up via our linky or comments), or you can even email me the pic (being sure to leave a comment, describing your tree).

From there, I will pick the finalists, of which there could be 10-20, depending on how many entries there are, and I will post pics of those trees in a separate post right here on MamaBuzz on Wednesday, December 8. That way you have a whole week to get your trees up, get pictures, and link them up. We will then give you, our readers, an additional week to cast your votes; the final votes will be up to you, depending on which trees are your favorites. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, December 14. That way, I can hopefully have the ornaments to the winner, in time for Christmas.  Be sure to spread the word!  To inspire you and start the contest, here is a picture of my tree from this year (my star isn’t on yet….long story).Merry Christmas to you!  Now make some hot cocoa, decorate that tree, and link up your pics!  I can’t wait to see all the beautiful trees!
