Valentine’s Day will soon be here, and kids everywhere are gearing up, creating Valentines and treats for family and friends. This year we decided to do something a little bit different. We went beyond the average mini Valentine in a mini envelope to create tasty Valentines our family will love.
We received an Angie’s Kettle Corn Valentine’s Snack Pack that contained 20 treat-sized bags of delicious, gluten-free, allergen-free, cholesterol-free, all-natural kettle corn. Angie’s Kettle Corn is also free of trans-fats, artificial flavors, preservatives, and is certified Kosher. Families of children with peanut allergies don’t have to worry either; the facility is 100% free of peanuts/tree nuts.
So, what did we do with these treat-sized bags of delicious sweet and salty kettle corn? And trust me….it is like no other kettle corn I’ve ever had; it’s absolutely de-lish! We created Valentines for the grandparents in our family. The Snack Pack comes with Valentine’s stickers that say To/From, so kids can attach the stickers to the bags, giving a unique and tasty Valentine’s treat. We decided to get a little crafty with it, though.
First, we cut long strips of red/pink construction paper (construction paper not included in snack pack) to use as bag wrappers.
We wrapped construction paper strips around each bag and attached with a sticker, labeling each sticker beforehand.
It was easy, simple, and a fun way for the kids to get their craft on. Of course, they also created pictures to include in the packages we’ll send off to each set of grandparents, all while enjoying a bit of popcorn themselves.
